The online article doesn't show the last paragraph in which Ayat comments that the university should do more for international students. I respectfully disagree vehemently, STU and Judy Coates more than anyone does a lot for its internationals.

On a different note, I managed to spend my first Christmas in Canada, and so have other friends of mine, with Canadian students, who were more than willing to have us over and learn about our cultures, traditions etc. It is hard for me to understand why Ayat would choose to spend the break alone instead with someone. I think that staying optimistic and not negative about the break will go a long way and hopefully she won't end up spending the holidays by herself. Judy already emailed all the international students with our options for the break. Ayat, I would encourage you to pick and choose as many of them as possible, and there are other internationals staying here, join forces and discover Fredericton in the winter... it REALLY is a nice place indifferent of the time of year and there are plenty to do downtown (see me for info).
